Tain Gala

Tain Gala Community Festival today and tomorrow (June 30 and July 1). A packed programme of events is scheduled. For more information, visit the group’s social media page.

Art Exhibition

An exhbition "Black Isle Abstract" opens at the Dorothy Dick Studio Gallery, 47 Scourie, today from 4pm-5pm. Featuring the work of abstract artists Alex Dunn, from Cromarty, and Ian Barr. The exhibition will then be open Tuesday to Saturday 1pm-6pm or by arrangement until August 4.

Dornoch Cathedral is hosting a concert tonight from 7pm in aid of the Highlands Support Refugees. Simon Evans and Julian Davis will perform Beethoven’s Spring Sonata, Bartok’s Rhapsody 1 and Richard Strauss’ Violin Sonata. No booking required. Donations.

Doll Community Association is holding a Family Fun Colour run at Doll Hall tomorrow. Registration is from 10.30am and the race starts at 11am.

Talk and Book Signing

Author Dr Andrew Ross will give a talk and sign copies of his latest book “Donald Ross and the Highland Clearances” at Carnegie Hall, Clashmore, on Tuesday from 2pm-4pm

Dr Ross will lead a tour of Dornoch on Wednesday from 2pm-4pm visiting sites pertinent to Donald Ross’s life. To book a place on the tour email: enquiries@histoylink.org.uk will it
