Today's flights between Inverness and Birmingham airports have been cancelled after "a technical issue".

This morning's 7.30 am Loganair service between the Highland capital and the Midlands city did not fly, while this afternoon's 12.50 pm departure from Birmingham is also flagged as cancelled.

A Loganair spokeswoman said: “We can confirm today’s flights between Inverness and Birmingham have been cancelled following a technical issue.

"All customers are being rebooked on to alternative services.

"Safety is our number one priority at Loganair and we thank our customers for their patience and understanding.”
