Local residents urged to take advantage of 'Warm Spaces' initiative in Dornoch with halls open regularly

Dornoch Area Community Council is reminding local residents that public buildings in the town are being opened regularly to provide a "warm space" for people to gather, enjoy refreshments and socialise.

The community council posted: "Don't forget that every weekday you can meet up with old friends and new in one of our local halls to 'get the craic'.

"Most halls are offering free tea, coffee and biscuits."

Dornoch Library is open on Mondays from 10am -1pm and again from 2pm-5pm.

On Tuesdays Dornoch Hub on Argyle Street opens from 10am to noon.

It is the turn of the West Church Hall, Sutherland Road, on Wednesdays which welcomes people in from 11am to 3pm.

Dornoch Hub opens again on Thursdays from 11am-1pm. A lunch club also operates that day. Also on Thursday, the Free Church on Church Street runs the 'Living Room' from noon-3pm.

And on Friday Dornoch Community Centre opens from 10am-12.30pm.
