A charity cyclist ditched sleeping in style to highlight homelessness and completed a mammoth Land's End to John O'Groats and return trip journey (Lejogle) in just 10.68 days.

Tim Styles cycled from Land’s End to John O’Groats unsupported in under five days last year and was trying to upscale the challenge by undertaking the 1900-mile Lejogle ride in just 10 days.

Tim Styles made it to Land's End after a Lejogle journey of 10.68 days.

Posting on social media just after completing the epic journey on Wednesday, Tim wrote: "The beginning, the middle and the end of an amazing journey of 1,768.24 miles, 83,560 ft of climbing, a total time from start to finish of 10.68 days and a weight loss of 4.5kgs.

"Thanks to one and all for your generous donations and fantastic ongoing support which kept me motivated throughout. My adventure was a side issue to the reason for my journey; to increase awareness of homelessness in Cornwall and to raise much needed funds for those in desperate need."

Tim's JustGiving page is still live for sending donations at: www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/lejogle

The 60-year-old undertook the cycling challenge to raise awareness and funds for Harbour Housing, a Cornish based charity that helps deliver safe homes and life support for people with multiple needs.
