Learn Ukrainian with Lairg Learning Centre

Lairg and District Learning Centre is considering adding Ukrainian to the online language classes it offers.

The centre is currently asking anyone interested to complete a form in order that it can gauge the level of interest in learning conversational Ukrainian.

Managers feel that with Ukrainians fleeing their homeland because of the Russian invasion, and seeking refuge across Europe, a knowledge of Ukrainian could be useful.

A post on its social media page states: “We are looking to expand our language classes at Lairg and District Learning Centre and with the Ukrainian refugee situation would you be interested in online courses to learn conversational Ukrainian?”

The centre says that it will be able to help anyone unable to access classes from home.

"You could come to the centre where you can use a computer and we can help you to join the class," it says.
