Missing Sutherland man found after police appeal for public’s help

A man reported missing from his home in the Sutherland village of Lairg has been traced.

Police Scotland said Alexander MacKay (51) was found safe and well after being reported missing on March 29.

There had been concern expressed for Mr MacKay’s welfare.

A police spokesperson said they would like to thank the public for their assistance after the force issued an appeal through the media for help in tracing Mr MacKay.
