Lairg health walk initiative a 'success'

Health walks initiated by Lairg and District Community Initiatives (LDCI) are proving very successful, the group’s chairperson has said.

Kaye Hurrion told Lairg Community Council at its meeting on Monday, December 1, that the walks had started in September and were attracting people, even in inclement weather.

“The health walks are proving very successful. There were eight people on the first walk and eight on the second walk, which is brilliant,” she said, adding that it was hoped to find somewhere where walkers could stop for refreshments during the winter.
