Lairg and District Learning Centre has announced that it has a variety of new classes and workshops taking place at the centre in the next couple of months.

Places were still available earlier this week for the Coding for Kids course – a four-week class starting on April 18 which will teach the basics of video game design.

The young participants – the class is for P5-7 pupil – will use their own basic coding to create their own micro-game.

And in a new move the centre has teamed up with ARCH Highland to run a free historic maps workshop on Tuesday, April 16.

A spokesperson for the centre said: "We have lots of new classes and workshops happening at the learning centre so keep an eye out.

"Come along and unleash your inner creativity while having fun along the way."

To book any of the classes visit the centre's Eventbrite page online at https://shorturl.at/dnsS7 and for more information visit: lairglearningcentre.org.uk or the organisation's Facebook page.
