Four members of Kyle of Sutherland Joggers took part in a litter picking session recently.

Catriona Hill, Jenny Rush, Karen Swinden and Elissa Steven (pictured) collected rubbish along the Balblair Straight, a stretch of the A836 between Bonar Bridge and Invershin.

They collected 11 bags of rubbish.

Elissa told us: “We chose this stretch because Karen runs it weekly and noticed a lot of litter!

“We also plan to concentrate soon on the roadside from Bonar Bridge out to the start of the Balbair Straight.”

The Kyle of Sutherland Joggers meet twice weekly in the Bonar Bridge area, Mondays 7pm at the Hub and Wednesdays 7pm at Bonar /Ardgay Golf Club. For more info contact elizasteven@hotmail.com
