John Lennon's caricature fetches £800

A signed John Lennon drawing from his accident hit visit to Sutherland in 1969 went under the hammer today for £800.

Autographed ‘To Derek Peace + Love John Lennon 1969’, the framed picture is a sketch of Lennon and Yoko Ono in the late Beatle's characteristic caricature style.

The drawing went under the hammer in Richard Winterton Auctioneers' Antiques and Home Sale from The Lichfield Auction Centre at Fradley Park.

The guide price set for the drawing was from £500-£800.

The purchaser will also have pay a buyer's and other premium which took it to just over £1000, including VAT.
