Improvements to the A9 south of Brora to start on Monday and last 10 days

On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland will be carrying out essential surfacing improvements on the A9 at Inverbrora, immediately south of Brora, with works set to get under way on Monday, March 18.
The project will see a new surface laid on the carriageway of the A9 at Inverbrora, creating a smoother and safer road for motorists.
The project is scheduled to take place over 10 days, from Monday to Friday 18-29 March, between the hours of 7am and 7pm each day with no work on Saturday or Sunday.
All surfacing works are anticipated to be complete by 7pm on Friday March 29, subject to weather conditions.
There will be a lane closure with a 10mph convoy system in place. The traffic management will be removed outwith working hours to keep disruption to a minimum, with a speed restriction of 30mph in place as traffic will be running over a temporary surface.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing improvements to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.

Materials removed from the existing carriageway will be recycled using SEPA approved methods.
