Immigration enforcement officers arrested a man at a Highland takeaway.

It happened at Max 2's in Lombard Street, Inverness, earlier this month.

After a video went viral on social media, Highland News & Media looked into the incident but has chosen not to post the footage.

It is understood a Pakistani man was arrested on immigration offences on June 8 and will be dealt with in line with immigration rules.

A Home Office spokesperson said: "Illegal working causes untold harm to our communities, cheating honest workers out of employment, putting vulnerable people at risk, and defrauding the public purse.

"The government is tackling illegal immigration and the harm it causes by removing those with no right to be in the UK."
