It's back! Screening dates for Ardross Castle-set BBC reality TV hit The Traitors is confirmed

THE screening dates for the return of a hit reality TV show filmed in Easter Ross have been revealed.

The Traitors – filmed at and around Ardross Castle – has been a worldwide hit since first aired in the UK at the end of last year.

The ultimate reality game of detection, backstabbing and trust is back on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Claudia Winkleman greets 22 strangers as they arrive at the stunning castle in the Highlands with the hope of winning up to £120,000 in The Traitors series two.

While some avid viewers had hoped it would be served up as a Christmas treat, it turns out they'll have to wait just a little bit longer...

It has been confirmed that the show will return on Wednesday, |January 3 from 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Episodes 2 and 3 will be available on iPlayer immediately after.

The show will air on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights.

The new contestants will be revealed "in due course", the BBC teases.

The show brings an economic boost to the Highlands through the supply of accommodation and other services.

It also puts the Highlands on the map for a wider audience of potential visitors.

The Traitors: Uncloaked, meanwhile, is a brand new visualised podcast, hosted by award-winning stand-up comedian and presenter Ed Gamble, that will take fans of the smash-hit entertainment show The Traitors deeper into the castle with dissection of the episodes and exclusive access to the banished and murdered players.

As soon as viewers have finished with their latest fix of The Traitors on BBC One, made by Studio Lambert, they’ll be able to join Ed, cast members and celebrity guests for all the best analysis and reaction to the latest betrayals, mind games and manipulations.

This access all areas visual podcast will be available on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer with an extended version on BBC Sounds.

Made by Listen, each episode will feature an exclusive interview with the contestants that get banished and murdered along the way, and bonus unseen footage where they learn the identity of the Traitors for the very first time. How will they react when they discover who has been betraying them?

The episodes will air on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer, and an extended version with additional guests, further theories and essential analysis will be available on BBC Sounds.
