Ice disruption set to affect the Highlands as Met Office issues new yellow warning

Parts of the Highlands could see more travel disruption caused by the cold spell, with a yellow warning in place for this afternoon and tomorrow (Thursday, December 7).

The Met Office has issued a fresh alert for ice which will impact the area and potentially cause disruption to travel.

Icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths could cause injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.

A yellow warning for heavy rain is also in place for tomorrow with parts of the A9 north of Perth set to be impacted and a risk of flooding.
