The hall was dressed beautifully with spring flowers and the table was loaded with amazing desserts.

There was a good variety of tasty soups and some amazing desserts on offer, one of which consisted of a cascade of small Easter eggs and chicks out of a striped sweet bag onto a cream sponge cake.

After coffee, tea and a chat, the afternoon continued with a short film and a worship service to celebrate the joy of Easter.

Stuart Mingham, of the Fellowship, said: "After two and a half years of mostly keeping apart, quite a few people had a good appetite for a community lunch!

"Folk departed happy and refreshed, with several carrying surplus soup and dessert to share with friends and neighbours."
