A REGULAR holidaymaker at a north-west Sutherland caravan site is fundraising to buy a defibrillator to be installed there.

Isabel McIntosh says the Achmelvich area is her family’s favourite holiday destination and she has made many friends over the years at Shore Caravan Site, which is situated next to beautiful Achmelvich Bay.

She said: “Each year I run a raffle and donate the prize money to various charities. This is normally drawn at a jewellery party which I host each summer. This year we decided to raise funds to install a defibrillator at the site.”

Mrs McIntosh, who is due to return to Achmelvich next Friday, July 21, has also set up a crowdfunding page and set a target of £2500. Earlier this week the crowdfunder stood at £260.

"Any amount that you can donate will be appreciated and help towards us achieving our target," she said.

She added that the owners of the site were supporting the fundraiser.
