The event, organised by Historylinks Museum, Dornoch, takes place at Dornoch Social Club.

The evening will include films old and new as well as a mystery game, refreshments and raffle.

A Historylinks spokesman said: "This year's films, as always, are an eclectic mix and will include whisky security, the roaring game, a nod to down under, the value of gold and a school with two pupils. Do join us for a chance to reminisce and enjoy a relaxing evening."

Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start and the cost is £5, which includes cakes, refreshments and a fun, "no pressure" competition.

A car wash run at Historylinks by its Young Curators Club on Saturday raised just over £404 towards a new extension for the musuem, bringing the total they have raised for the fund to £1000.
