Highland road reopens on A9 after earlier crash at Dalnaspidal – south of Dalwhinnie

A road traffic collision that happened earlier today on the A9 has been cleared.

The accident earlier closed both north and south carriageways.

Traffic Scotland said the road had now been cleared.

But reminded motorists to drive carefully as traffic was still heavy.

A spokesman said: "Northbound has reopened following an RTC near Dalnaspidal

"All lanes running.

"Traffic is still heavy in both directions but should start to ease soon."
