The last full Highland Council meeting of the year has had to be postponed for the second year running due to IT issues.
The council’s webcast page shows the meeting has now been postponed until Friday at 9am.
The meeting was due to hear a motion from Thurso and Northwest Caithness councillor Struan Mackie calling for the break-up of Highland Council.
Sources say that the council has suffered a major IT failure that has also affected many email services as well, though some staff were able to get online.
Major items such as a 15-year capital investment plan, fuel poverty support and the motion to potentially break-up Highland Council were due to be decided.
Last year, a similar outage saw the full meeting of the local authority postponed from December 17 until January 7.
