Motorists are being advised by the Highland Council that there will be a temporary road closure on Stadium Road, Inverness, between its junction with the U4108 Longman Drive and its junction with the M9/A9 Edinburgh – Stirling – Thurso Trunk Road.

The temporary closure will be in operation from 8pm today until 5am on Wednesday.

"The closure is required to enable a contractor, working on behalf of ‘Bear (Scotland) Ltd’, to progress with the Kessock Bridge painting scheme," said a spokesperson.

Access will be maintained for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles employed to carry out the works.

To avoid the road closure, alternative routes will be available.
