The Highland Business Women Awards recognise and celebrate the talents and achievements of both individuals and teams.

The business woman of the year award is sponsored by Murray Travel. Director Sarah Murray said: “Having rejoined HBW following an absence due to maternity, I wanted to demonstrate my support for both the organisation and the business women who work so hard, and make so many sacrifices to start and grow their businesses. It’s quite possibly the pinnacle award of the night, and I am delighted and proud to have the opportunity to sponsor it.”

The team of the year award is sponsored by Kincraig Castle Hotel.

Its new owner, Ruchir Gupta, an experienced hotelier, was delighted to sponsor the award. Mr Gupta said: “Success in any business depends on good teamwork and communication between colleagues at all levels within an organisation. While it is often individuals that are picked out for praise, they almost always have a strong team behind them. By sponsoring this award we want to show our support for and recognise the key role that teamwork plays and that every member of staff makes an important contribution to a business’s success.”

The annual awards recognise the achievements of women in business across the Highland region, the significant contribution they make as well as their contribution to the wider economy.

The awards will be held on Thursday, August 24 at the Macdonald Drumossie Hotel, Inverness.

Apply or nominate at hbw.scot/awards by July 2.
