Charity Lucky2Bhere visited Helmsdale last Wednesday to provide emergency life support training along with two community defibrillators.

Funding for the lifesaving equipment was raised by Helmsdale and District Development Trust with grant applications made to Foundation Scotland, Helmsdale Medical Equipment Fund and SSE Gordonbush Community Fund.

The defibrillators will be fitted shortly outside the community centre and the health centre and will be available for anyone to use if required.

If any members of the community were unable to make last weeks training and would be interested in a further training session, please contact Helmsdale and District Development Trust’s local development officer, Mary Stewart on 01431821141.
