We will be on hand all day to answer any queries you may have around insurance or NFU Scotland membership. We look forward to seeing everyone there and we wish the show every success for 2023.”

The plans are coming together for the 184th annual Black Isle Show being held on the Mannsfield Showground in Muir of Ord at the start of August.

Wednesday, August 2 sees a preview event with the gates opening at 4pm, and show day is Thursday, August 3, with gates opening at 8am.

Premium lists, schedules and entry forms have been circulated to previous exhibitors and are now available on the society's website.

President David Mackenzie revealed the show is currently recruiting teams for the charity tractor push which takes place on the Wednesday evening and is urging teams to come forward to take part in this event.

Teams can be from any walk of life and need to nominate a charity or local good cause for prize money to be donated to. Teams of five are required, four to push and one to drive. If anyone can muster a team and has a favourite charity or local good cause, please contact the show office either by email or phone for an application form.

This year the main ring attraction sees Stuntworld International Stunt Show perform in the main ring.

On Wednesday evening, the showjumping finals are held. Also in the main ring there will be a dog agility display.

Thursday sees the livestock competitions which start early in the morning at 8am. The ever-colourful Flower Show takes entries in during the morning of August 2 with judging done at 2pm. Once the judging is completed the flower shed is then open to the viewing public.

In 2022 the companion dog show was reintroduced and makes a return this year. Entry forms for this are available on the day from noon, with the dog show judging taking place at 1pm. Classes for this can be found on the website.
