The new vests will be used by club members during their sessions at Sutherland Swimming Pool, Golspie.

Established in 2018 to offer after school activities for children with additional support needs, the Brora based club later changed its constitution to include children who may be struggling with emotional issues or stress and anxiety.

It has previously received funding from the Beatrice Offshore Fund and the Co-op.

More recently, a funding award from the Kilbraur Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund has enabled the club to offer swimming instruction on Fridays for high school pupils, known as Move it Monster Plus.

Club representative Gina Stewart said: "The next part of the plan for the Move it Monster Club is to offer guidance from mental health practitioners as well as training in life skills. We hope to provide cooking classes, art therapy, first aid and music therapy for older pupils to help them find ways of combating stress and anxiety."
