Michael Willmot of Helmsdale Station Community Interest Company (HSCIC), which runs holiday accommodation at Helmsdale Station, presented £700 to local primary school teacher Alison Henderson for school funds.

The generous amount was made possible by a couple who, when their holiday in Station House had been cancelled several times due to Covid, decided to donate their refund to support local causes.

Pupils made a thank-you banner to show Mr Willmot how much the generosity was appreciated.

Profits from the Station House go to maintain the station and assist community projects.
