There was wall to wall sunshine for Farr Primary School's annual Shield Day on Wednesday (June 14).

The Shield Day is equivalent to a sports day and is keenly looked forward to by pupils at the small school.

The school's house teams battled it out to win the handsome Janette Mackay Games shield.

A variety of competitions are held at the fun-filled event with teams this year competing in the welly toss, crossing the river and the longest handstand.

Last year Hope won the shield but this year it was the turn of Klibreck, who were presented with the shield by teacher Margaret Campbell.
