HIGHLAND-based photographer Nick Sidle captured this rare full circle rainbow shot using a drone.

The stunning image was captured at Glen Convinth, Inverness-shire on Saturday at around 8.50am.

It was taken from a drone at an altitude of 395ft.

As the rainbow was too large an image to be captured as a single frame by the drone camera, 22 separate photographs were taken of sections of the scene which were then stitched together using imaging software to show the complete rainbow.
