Assynt Field Club's final indoor meeting of 2022 takes place next Thursday, December 15, at 7.30pm in the Community Room, Lochinver Village Hall.

The December speaker is Dr Paul Yoxon from the International Otter Survival Fund (IOSF) which is based on Skye, and his talk is titled 'Otters: Ecology and Conservation'.

Paul is Head of Operations at the IOSF which he, and his wife Grace established in 1993. Over the years, the IOSF has engaged in otter-related projects in more than 60 different countries.

The field club’s most recent contact with the IOSF was in September this year when a young otter named Storm was released back to the wild in Assynt.

The indoor events are open to everyone, and are free to under 16's, but £3.00 for others. This includes refreshments at the end.

This will again be a blended event with the live talk being available on Zoom at the same time.

Anyone who is not a field club member, but would like to enjoy this event via Zoom should email assyntwildlife@gmail.com and request the link.
