Flowers from a farm near Loch Ness are set to appear at Westminster Abbey this weekend for the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The Wild Acre at Corrimony Farm, Glenurquhart has provided a variety of blooms which are set to appear alongside 80 other growers produce over the weekend.
Barbara Girvan, owner of The Wild Acre is proud to have been chosen to provide flowers for the historic event. She said: “It's a privilege to have been asked to be part of this.
"Being so far north it was a bit stressful not knowing what I would provide but it's comforting to see the other flowers that are being provided from throughout the UK.
“It's emotional and it will be exciting to see them in Westminster Abbey."
Mrs Girvan has provided broom and bluebells within her flowers, and she is hopeful that this event will prove how important British growers are.
She added: “Everyone has very similar flower - we have broom and bluebells in ours. That was a big deal for me and is a statement of what’s available and working within seasonality is so important.
“Flowers that are imported are not the same quality, so it is great to see such a massive event can use sustainable flowers.
“People think flower growing is not possible in the UK, but there is real mileage in growing in Scotland."
Alongside providing flowers for this weekend's event, The Wild Acre also offers a subscription service of its flowers that can be sent throughout the UK.
