Highland holidaymakers can look forward to sun, sea and sangria as tour operator JetsGo Holidays announces its 2021 holiday flights to Majorca, direct from Inverness Airport.

Operating throughout June, July, September and October, travellers will be able to fly direct to the Spanish island, touching down in just a matter of hours.

Inverness Airport anticipates a significant increase in foreign travel next year following on from a disappointing 2020 holiday season due to Covid-19.

With previous years of successful flights to Majorca, Inverness Airport general manager Graeme Bell said: “This is an extremely popular destination for our Highland travellers so we’re excited to be able to offer flights for the 2021 holiday season.

"There is still considerable interest from travellers and coupled with pent up demand, we anticipate that flights will sell quickly.

"JetsGo is a key partner for Inverness Airport and we look forward to continuing that relationship into 2021.”

Daniel Reilly, director of JetsGo Holidays said: "Majorca is the perfect place to relax, catch some rays and take in the history of the island. While 2020 has been devasting for the travel industry and the holiday resorts which are struggling with few visitors, we are hoping 2021 will be the year of recovery, our hotel partners on the island cannot wait to welcome customers back. With a vast range of three to five star holidays that can be secured with just a £75 per person deposit, it’s the perfect opportunity to have something positive to look forward too"

Highlands and Islands Airports Limited (HIAL) which owns and operates Inverness Airport, has customer and staff safety and wellbeing in mind, they have safety measures in place which are in accordance with Government and Public Health Scotland Covid-19 advice, which aim to minimise risk to passengers and staff at the airport.
