Flavour of '1940s camaraderie' as Young Curators' festive fair goes ahead despite coronavirus keeping members at home

A CHRISTMAS fair run by the Young Curators at Historylinks Museum in Dornoch, has raised more than £630 for the museum's extension fund.

The event took place on Saturday at the town's Cathedral green

Members of the Young Curators Club have been busy for weeks making items to sell.

A post on Historylinks' social media page said that only five out of a possible 13 club members were able to attend the fair with Covid forcing many of them and their families into isolation.

The post stated: "There was a flavour of 1940s camaraderie in the face of adversity amongst the Young Curators and supporting volunteers who set up and managed the stalls."
