Lochinver lifeboat has been given a large funding boost.

A well-attended RNLI fish supper and quiz night held at An Cala Cafe on Saturday, October 29, in aid of the lifeboat raised an amazing £1,040.

The amount is double that raised at the last fundraising quiz night held in October 2019.

Event organisers have said a "massive thank-you" to individuals and businesses who supported the raffle by donating a large number of quality prizes - the raffle itself raised £810.

There was a tie for first place in the quiz with the Bay Salamanders and Team Malcolm coming joint first with 47 points each.

"The event was a great success", said organisers.
