Find out what celebrity chef Nigella Lawson had to say after checking out Ross-shire couple's tasty treats
Celebrity chef Nigella Lawson was full of praise for a couple of Highland businesses she visited while in Scotland on holiday.
The 63-year-old has provided her 2.9 million followers on Instagram with glowing references for Bad Girl Bakery and The Redshank.
She grabbed food from both eateries at the Victorian Market in Inverness while on her way to Skye for a holiday.
Bad Girl Bakery was set up by Douglas Hardie and Jeni Iannetta who first launched in Muir of Ord.

Lawson stated on Instagram: "Have had a wonderful morning poring over the photographs I took during my week’s holiday in Skye (and shall unleash them here shortly) but right now I’m luxuriating in memories of our pit stop in Inverness at the start of it all. Of course I had to drop into @badgirlbakery, as I’m a huge, huge fan of their book of the same name, and took away with me a box of these utterly sensational milk chocolate peanut butter cookies, enjoyed at journey’s end with a wee dram of @talisker Storm!
"But in order to get there, refuelled on an incredible fish finger sandwich at @theredshankuk (also in @victorianmarketinverness) that you can see in pic 2, along with their crab croquettes with brown crab mayo (I make this at home to go with a salad of the white crabmeat, but it was dreamy with the croquettes), seaweed-seasoned fries and, for good measure, the furikake fries which come with seaweed, black and white sesame seeds, garlic mayo and sriracha. They don’t mess around when it comes to portion sizes in Scotland!"
The respected food writer delivered a ringing endorsement of Bad Girl Bakery's book when she reviewed it in January 2022.

Jeni Iannetta, of Bad Girl Bakery, said: “Everyone at Bad Girl was absolutely delighted when Nigella popped into the bakery last week. Nigella has been a foody hero of mine since I first started baking, so this was definitely a special moment for me.”
