A Christmas Concert to raise funds for the Highland Hospice is making a return.

It has become a regular feature in the city’s festive calendar, and organisers are delighted to announce that this year’s concert tickets have been released.

One of the concert organisers, Liz MacIntyre, said: “Our 2022 Magical Night of Christmas Songs and Carols will take place on Saturday, December 10, and we are pleased to be working with the team at Inverness Cathedral once again this year to enable us to host our Christmas Concert in such beautiful surroundings.

“We have a jam-packed programme that will include upbeat Christmas songs from individuals and choirs. So as usual we are confident, the concert will definitely get people in the Christmas spirit.”

Speaking about those performing, Liz said: “We will have performances from the school pupils from Dalneigh Primary School, as well as a welcome return from Inverness Military Wives Choir, who couldn’t attend last year as a number of its members got struck down with Covid literally hours before the last concert was due to begin.

“We will also be looking forward to having a Christmas performance from this year’s Ness Factor winner, so that should be a special, surprise treat for those in attendance – because we obviously don’t know who that is at the moment.”

Speaking about the funds being raised by the concert, Liz added: “I think most families in the Highlands have a link with the Highland Hospice, so we are always lucky that our tickets sell out very quickly.”

Tickets can be purchased on the Inverness section of Skiddle.
