A CALLP spokeswoman said: “Our mini-festival aims to highlight the wide range of fantastic books, guides, music and interpretation that have been created through CALLP to celebrate and share the historic, cultural and natural heritage of Cogiach and Assynt.

The programme includes a drop-in Meet the Authors session, a children’s art workshop, and guided walks to Clachtoll Broch and on the Achlochan Heritage Trail, as well as discussions and talks.

Events will take place in Achiltibuie Hall as well as Lochinver Hall and other venues.

Anyone interested in attending the festival can download a copy of the programme from the CALLP website at www.coigach-assynt.org

Coigach and Assynt Living Landscape is one of the largest community-led partnerships in Scotland and was formed to bring environmental and economic benefits to the Coigach and Assynt areas.

The partnership scheme has come to the end of its current phase of funding after delivering a programme of more than 30 projects supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and other funders. All events being held as part of the festival are free.
