COVID has sparked the cancellation of several sailings of the Ullapool-Stornoway ferry today (Monday), CalMac has confirmed.

The ferry operator said that "a positive Covid result onboard" had resulted in the need for a deep clean of the ship.

As a result the 7am and 2pm sailings from Stornoway and 10.30am departure from Ullapool are all cancelled on Monday.

CalMac advised passengers that it will provide a later update regarding the 5.30pm sailing from Ullapool, and advised passengers to check for the latest information before starting their journey.
