An online survey has been launched to gauge whether there is a demand for a "shared work space" in Assynt.

Survey organisers say: "Given the effect of recent years on all our mental wellbeing, this could be a good place to chat and catch up with others, while working on DIY projects or to meet up and do a joint DIY or crafts project, or to teach each other skills.

"The suggestion is that there could be specific times set aside for people to attend with others of their own gender only, in line with the idea of a men's shed."

If there is a demand, then it is said that "various local groups" would work in partnership to make it happen".

The survey can be accessed here.
