Pupils at Farr High School, Primary and Early Learning Centre, have been busy completing a reverse advent calendar which involved collecting different items daily for Caithness Foodbank at Thurso.

Primary teacher Eilidh Munro said: "The children have learned about helping others and did a great job counting and sorting the food items donated.

"Our biggest calendar day was December 4 when we collected 102 cartons of long life milk!"

Primary principal teacher Audrey Robson added: "We have been overwhelmed with the generosity of our pupils, staff and community.

"We were also very grateful to receive a significant donation of items from the North Sutherland Covid Support Group. We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone."

All items collected were delivered on December 18 to the foodbank which supports not just the town but also north Sutherland communities.
