Have you ever hankered to own a giant Scottie dog sculpture?

Well, now is your chance - 30 Scotties are going under the hammer at a charity auction next Thursday, November 30.

Among them is a work by Highland-born artist Roma McCook who hails from Aviemore but now lives in London.

The Scotties by the Sea project was developed by St Andrews Business Improvement District (BID) in partnership with art trail specialists Wild at Art.

Each sculpture was individually designed and painted by artists before being placed throughout St Andrews and the north Fife coast to form a public art art trail.

Roma, who specialises in animal portraits, said: “I was thrilled to be accepted and to be able to play my part in a great project that has now reached the charity stage.”

The trail opened on September 1 but has now closed.

All 30 Scottie dogs were gathered in St Andrews over the weekend of November 18-19 for a big farewell event ahead of next Thursday’s auction in aid of Maggie’s Cancer Care.

Roma (30) said: “Anyone will be able to bid and offer a forever home to my boy!”

The online auction is now open and you can view the auction catalogue and place your bids by clicking here.

All pre-auction bids place online will be processed on the night as part of the live auction event which starts at 6.30pm on Thursday and will be livestreamed.

Bidding is expected to start at £2,000 for each sculpture. VAT will be added to the final hammer price for each lot.
