Fallen tree 'partially blocked' A836 between Bonar Bridge and Lairg

A fallen tree has resulted in the partial blocking of the A836 road between Bonar Bridge and Lairg.

Highland Council had said that the block occurred near Allt na Fearna Mor burn on the east Sutherland route.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, the local authority said: "A tree is partially blocking the road on the A836 between Bonar Bridge and Lairg in the vicinity of Allt na Fearna Mor burn.

"Roads operatives are en route to assess."

UPDATE: The road is now clear, as at 5.50pm.
