Entry device smashed at Golspie public toilets, but attempt to break into coin box is unsuccessful

Another attack has been made on the public conveniences at Fountain Road, Golspie.

Police Scotland said damage had been caused to the coin box and contactless device at the female toilets.

The incident happened at some point between 10.30am last Thursday, February 3, and 10.30 am the following day.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “The contactless device has been totally smashed. Efforts to overcome the security of the coin box have been made but have not been successful.”

The public conveniences have been the target of constant vandalism in recent months.
