There are two routes for riders to choose from. The Strathnaver Challenge is a 68-mile trip leaving Tongue towards Bettyhill and heading inland through Strathnaver to Altnaharra along Strathmore and back to Tongue.

The Ben Hope Trial is a 48-mile ride with riders starting and finishing in Tongue on a loop through Altnaharra and Strathmore.

The event is timed but is not a race. Both routes are expected to be completed in five hours.

Piloted in 2014, the event is a fundraiser for Strathnaver Museum at Bettyhill. For more information and to register, visit: www.cyclinginthestraths.co.uk/
