The long-established Lairg Gaelic Choir has signalled that it would welcome new members.

The choir is encouraging anyone who enjoys singing to go along to its first practice of the new year at Fountain Road Hall, Golspie, on Monday, January 15, from 7.30pm.

A spokesperson for the choir said: “If you are looking for something new for 2024, enjoy singing and are interested in Gaelic, then come along and join our choir. All are welcome and you don’t need to speak Gaelic, as Gaelic tuition is given”.

Practices are held on Mondays, either in Lairg Church of Scotland Hall or in Fountain Road Hall, Golspie. Members of the choir come from all over Sutherland and Ross-shire. Transport is available if required.
