Tom and Luke Stoltman muscle in on Blythswood Care's 2023 Shoe Box Appeal launch at Highland Deephaven in Evanton
The world’s strongest brothers Luke and Tom Stoltman called at Highland Deephaven this week to throw their weight behind Blythswood Care’s Shoe Box Appeal.
Luke and Tom said: “We were delighted to visit Blythswood Care to hear more about their Shoe Box Appeal‘s 30th anniversary, and receive a tour of their facility in Evanton, meeting staff and volunteers.
"We have always supported the appeal, and have fond memories packing boxes as youngsters with our mum, but never realised the true scale of the operation. The team are doing an amazing job, giving hope and support to families in real need.
"We hope to encourage folk to get involved with such a good cause.”
The appeal, which began 30 years ago, has already produced 2.6 million shoe boxes
for some of the poorest people in Eastern Europe, filled with practical, everyday items such as a pair of socks, a bar of soap and a woolly hat.
Blythswood’s chief executive James Campbell said: “I’m delighted that Tom and Luke
have given their time to promote the Shoe Box Appeal in this its 30th anniversary year. We really appreciate the support that we get from our own community here in the Highlands.”
