Drumbeg road resurfacing completed at a cost of £140k

Road repairs have been undertaken on a Sutherland stretch of tourism route North Coast 500 (NC500).

Highland Council has said its Sutherland roads team has completed resurfacing work on the

B869 Drumbeg-Nedd loop road.

A spokesman said: "This is one of many road projects completed on the Highland Council’s 6,754km of road network."

Some 3.5km of the B869 route has been resurfaced with £140,000 funding from the Sutherland area's prioritised capital works programme for 2021/22.

The authority is featuring some of its recently completed roads maintenance works on social media with the hashtag #HighlandRoadsRecovery.
