It is thought the vehicle could possibly be a Volkswagen Golf.

Local woman Rhona Macfarlane (67) died as a result of the accident on the A836 between Ardgay and Bonar Bridge at around 4.50pm on December 23.

She had been walking home when she was struck by a red Toyota Arius near to the junction known locally as the Crom junction.

Constable Robbie Stewart of Highlands Road Policing, said today: “We are looking to speak to the driver of a white vehicle, possibly a Volkswagen Golf, which was travelling towards Ardgay between the hours of 4.25pm and 4.40pm.

“We believe the driver of this vehicle may be able to provide information that could prove vital in our investigation.

“I would also urge anyone who has any information or possible dashcam footage relating to this incident to contact Police on 101 quoting incident number 2546."
