Dornoch Caravan and Camping Park wins customer service excellence award

Operators of a Sutherland caravan and camping park say they are thrilled to have won a major award.

The family-run Dornoch Caravan and Camping Park scooped the top title in the customer service excellence category of the Herald Scottish Family Business Awards, which are run in association with Business Gateway.

A glittering, in-person awards ceremony was held at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow on Wednesday.

Lynn Redfern, who runs the park with husband Darren and other members of their family, said: "We are so proud and delighted to have won the award for customer service excellence in The Herald Scottish Family Business Awards 2021.

"There were four other amazing businesses shortlisted for the award and we feel so honoured to have been named as the winner.

"We would like to thank all our wonderful staff who have worked with us these last few years to help us achieve this fantastic award, and to all our customers for their support."

Awards organisers said of Dornoch Caravan and Camping Park: "Through significant investment in upgrading facilities, Dornoch campsite has seen profits rise significantly despite closures to the business caused by successive lockdowns."
