Police are appealing for information on a theft of a donations box near Sandwood Bay.

POLICE are calling for information after a donations box was stolen from a Sutherland car park.

The box, which contained donations for the John Muir Trust, was taken away from the public toilets at Blairmore Car Park – near Sandwood Bay – in Kinlochbervie, between Sunday, March 26 and Wednesday, March 29.

Anyone with information can contact Police on 101 or using the "Contact Us" form on the Police Scotland website, or report anonymously through Crimestoppers calling 0800 555 111. Those getting in touch can use the incident reference CR/39715/23.

Police are also looking for witnesses after a donations box for Assynt Mountain Rescue Team located at a car park in Inchnadamph, near Lochinver was damaged and money stolen from inside.
