Farr High School has called off its Christmas dance due to the wintry weather and because it is behind with preparations for the popular event.
The dance was set to have taken place tomorrow but has now been postponed until Thursday, February 2.
The North Coast Campus posted on its social media page: “The high school dance was scheduled to take place tomorrow evening.
“Because we have been off school, we have not been able to make the preparations required for this to happen. It takes many hours to make the decorations and to decorate the hall.
“In addition, the forecast does not look any better for tomorrow, therefore we have concerns about our buses being out at 10pm to take the children home.
“It is with regret therefore that we have decided to postpone the dance until after the prelims. The provisional date for this is now Thursday, February 2.
“We apologise for any disappointment but hope you understand.”
