A Dingwall agricultural machinery firm has been confirmed as the top seller of McCormick tractors in 2021.

McLaren Tractors were named as McCormick's number one dealer after earning the highest market share in Scotland, catering for customers from Caithness to Dalwhinnie and across to Elgin.

The company, which employs 10 staff, has served farmers and crofters in the region since it was formed in 2003 by husband and wife pairing George and Fiona McLaren.

Since then they have expanded their offering to include machinery suited to the region’s harsh environment, including the McCormick range.

George McLaren said: "A big thank you to all our customers who have supported us. This will help us push our brand forward and hopefully they will continue to support us in the future."

The accolade was a big achievement for the Ross-shire dealer, considering they only started selling McCormick tractors in February of last year.

Mr McLaren said: "McCormick are a family business like us, and they are in touch with their product. Last year one of the owners visited us to see how we were getting on. I have been dealing with machines for 30 years and I've never had an owner of a multi-national corporation come across to meet us and show such a vested interest in how we found the product."
